Most basic diagnostics take about an hour. But honestly, it depends on what we're chasing. Simple check engine light? Usually quick. Intermittent electrical issue that only happens when it rains and you're turning left? That might take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe once we know what we're dealing with.

Nope, that's like putting tape over your low fuel light. The codes are symptoms, not the disease. Sure, sometimes it's a false alarm or a glitch, and clearing them helps. But 95% of the time, that light's coming right back on if you don't fix the actual problem. We find and fix the root cause.

You can, and they'll give you a code number for free. But here's the thing - that code doesn't tell you what's broken, it tells you what system detected a problem. P0300 means random misfires, but it doesn't say if it's spark plugs, coils, injectors, compression, or a vacuum leak. Our diagnostic goes way deeper and actually figures out what needs fixing.

Our diagnostic fee is separate because that's real work with expensive equipment and skilled labor. However, if you approve the repair with us, we'll credit the diagnostic fee toward your repair bill. Seems fair - you're paying for our expertise either way, but we don't want to double-charge you.
